MSKU-3: Physics in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

This intense two-day musculoskeletal ultrasound course includes 90% didactic instruction. This course focuses on the fundamental understanding of ultrasound physics as it relates to image production and assessment. Topics covered include, but are not limited to physical principles of ultrasound, transducers, imaging principals/instrumentation, doppler, and safety parameters. This is an essential course in order to successfully pass the national RMSK registry exam — as approximately 30% of the questions on the national RMSK exam concern the “physics of ultrasound”. The upper and lower extremity courses (MSKU-1 & 2) combined with the Physics in MSK Ultrasound (MSKU-3) and RMSK registry examination preparation & review (MSKU-4) courses are designed to successfully prepare the participant for the national RMSK registry exam.
