S. Jake Thompson, MPT, ATC, SCS, FAAOMPT, Dip. Osteopractic is an Osteopractic Physical Therapist in North Dakota. Mr. Thompson began his undergraduate studies at the University of North Dakota completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Athletic Training. He continued his Studies at Wichita State University receiving a Masters of Physical Therapy. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Education Health and Behavioral Studies with an emphasis in Kinesiology through the University of North Dakota.
Mr. Thompson is a graduate of the AAMT Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT). He is Board Certified in Sports Physical Therapy (ABPTS) and holds Certifications in Dry Needling (Cert. DN) and Spinal Manipulation (Cert. SMT), as well as being a Certified Athletic Trainer. Currently Mr. Thompson works at the University of North Dakota (UND) providing physical therapy for the athletic teams in the Center for Sports Medicine; he also serves as an Assistant Professor in the UND Department of Sports Medicine. Mr. Thompson also assists with the UND Sports Physical Therapy Residency and the UND Sports Medicine Fellowship programs. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and fishing, watching his boys play hockey and his girls dance.
