Dr. Ty Zimmerman, DPT, FAAOMPT, RMSK, Dip. MSK Ultrasonography is a graduate of the AAMT Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. He practices in a collaborative primary care clinic for Mercy Health in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Dr. Zimmerman is the founder of Amplified Physical Therapy, a mobile musculoskeletal ultrasound practice serving southeastern Wisconsin.
Dr. Zimmerman earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Carroll University (Wisconsin) and the Diploma in Osteopractic through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT). He is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Additionally, Dr. Zimmerman earned the Diploma in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography through AAMT and is the first physical therapist in Wisconsin to be Registered in Musculoskeletal (RMSK) sonography by the Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement.
Dr. Zimmerman is a recurring guest lecturer at the Carroll University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, where he lectures on the diagnosis and management of headaches with spinal manipulation and dry needling. In the clinic, Ty specializes in the management of peripheral neuropathic pain, headaches, and ultrasound-guided dry needling. In his free time, Dr. Zimmerman plays guitar and produces music for rock bands.
